In the name of God Amen: the one and twenty day of September Anno
dm 1630 I Willm Prissicke of Carleton in Cleaveland within the County
of Yorke Yeoman sicke in body but of good and pfect memorye God be
praysed doe ordayne and make this my last will and testament in manner
and forme Followinge viz First I give and bequeath my soule to Almighty
God my maker and my body to be buried in the Churchyarde of
Whorlton
Item I gyve and bequeath unto Elizabeth Prissicke my wyfe two ptes of all that my messuage or tenement, barnes, stables, kilnes, orchards, gardens, toft and Crofte with a close on the west syde of it togither with all my lands now in my possession as the same lyeth inclossed by the late divission with the roght honoble Thomas Lord Bruice Barron of Kinglosse, The Lady Jane Levingstone widdow and Henry Phillips yeoman wch said lands weere late p[ar]cell of the lands of the right honoble Thomas Lord Bruice, the Lady Jane Levingstone as parte of Darntons Farme, and of Henry Phillipps as part of John Gowlands Farme in Carlton aforesaid, All wch lands excepte the messuage and Crofte are and weere holden on free soccage, to have and to hold all the premysses with appurtenances to the said Elizabeth my wyfe and her assignes for and dureinge the tearme of seaventeene yeares next ensueinge my decease towardes the bringinge upp and preferment of my Children.
Item I give and bequeath to my said wyfe and her assignes all that twoo partes of all those landes wch I now holde by exchange as aforesaid, and wch weare p[ar]cell of my Farme in Carlton aforesaid And also twoo p[ar]tes of all those lands wch weere before or at the tyme of the division p[ar]cell of all those Farmes p[ar]cell of the inheritance of Sir Henry Jenkins Kt Christopher Manners Yeoman John Talbott Esqr Thomas Gowland yeoman, Lancelott Tailorson and Leonard Clarke yeomen, All wch p[ar]cells togither with those that weare and are my owne inheritance amount to the number of xij landes and did belonge to xij severall oxgangs, and doe all conteyne xij accres or ther abouts, And p[re]tended to be now holden of the right honoble Thomas Lord Bruice by knight service, to have and to hold all the p[re]mysses with appurtenances unto my said wyfe and her assignes for and dureinge the tearme of xvij yeares next ensueinge my decease as aforesaid towards the bringe upp and p[re]ferment of my said Children
Item my will is that Marye my daughter shall have all my sheepe younge and old in respect the same sheepe weare bought to her use by and with a legacie geven unto her by her Grandfather Thomas Chippin late of Knayton in the Countye of Yorke yeoman deceased, And all the said sheepe to be put forward to the use of my said daughter till she accomplyshe the age of xxi yeares or until she marrie,
Item I give unto the said Marye my daughter for a legacie one bedsteade with a fetherbed furnisht, one Cubbard six peeces of pewther ij brasse potts, ij kettles ij pannes one Candlesticke and a salte, all wch I would have delivered unto her at the day of her marriage,
Item moreover I give unto the said Marie my daughter Tenn poundes of currant English money in full recompence and satisfaccon of all that her filliall p[ar]te or portion of all my goods and chattalls whatsoever to be payd to such p[er]son or p[er]sons as the said Marie my daughter shall nominate or appoynte when she shall come to the age of xv yeares and soe to be put forward for her use:,
Item I give and bequeath to xpoffer Prissicke and Myles Prissicke my twoo younger sonnes to eyther of them seaventeene pounds apeece of currant englishe money in full recompence and satisfaccon of ther filliall partes or portions of all my goods and chattalls whatsoever to be payd to such p[er]son or p[er]sons as my said twoo sonnes shall nominate or appoynte when they shall come to the age of xv yeares and soe to be put forward for ther use and benefitt till they shall accomplysh the age of one and twenty yeares,
Item I give unto syster Katheryne Lee of Allerton a Cow such a one as my executor shall thinke fitt over & besydes that cowe wch she haith of myne in possession wch said cowe I likewyse freely give unto her,
Item I gyve to my syster Mary Cully Forty shillings,
Item I give to Thomas Cully her husbande a suyte of my Cloathes,
Item I give to the poore of Carlton where I dwell iijs iiijd

my detts and legacies payd and funrall expences discharged I give and
bequeath all the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever
unbequeathed unto Elizabeth Prissicke my wyfe whom I make sole and
whole executrixe of this my last will & testament. In winesse
