January the 6th 1672
In the name of God Amen I John Pressicke of Gisbrough the eldest in the County of Yorke sicke in body but whole in minde and in pfect memory (praised be God) doe make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following,
And I doe make and ordaine my beloved wife Elizabeth Pressicke & my sonne Robert Pressicke Executors of this my last will and testament, And I comitt my Soule into the hands of God that gave it and unto Jesus Christ my Savior and my body to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executors
Item my will is that my beloved wife enjoy the house I dwell in and the garth belonging to it, and my tennant right of one Close called the Milne Close during her life.
Item my will is that my sonne Robert Pressicke after my decease enter on that part of the house that is below the parlor with the parlor adjoyning to it during the life of my wife, and after the decease of my wife that part of the house and houseing and garth belonging to it returne to my sonne Robert Pressicke, and that part given to him before menconed to returne to the rest of the Children as my wife disposes of it ,
Item I give to my sonne Robert Pressicke my Close called Stoupe Close and my horse and Cart and Cart geere belonging to them my sonne Robert paying halfe of my debt and halfe [?fine?] to my Landlord and halfe rent and other duties belonging my farme.
Item I give to my son Robert one great dubler and two candlesticks and five more pewter dishes and one teaster Bedstead with curtaines belonging. one feather Bed two paire of Lynn Sheets two Cover clothes a better and a worse one bolster and two short Cods three pillowbears of Cloth with one Iron pott a brasse pann with the Cupboard and seeling in the house and table in the parlor. one chaire six trenchers one Iron Gavelocke
Item all the rest of my goods and Chattells within the house and out of doores moveable and immoveable not before given expressly I leave wholy to bee disposed of by my beloved wife for the rest of my Children Thomas Pressicke and Mary Pressicke & Margarett Pressicke; John Pressicke marke.
