Will of Elizabeth Prissick of Holborn, Middlesex, Gentlewoman.

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Prissick of King Street Holborn in the County of Middlesex Gentlewoman being in sound and disposing mind memory and understanding but greatly afflicted in bodily health do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament I commend my Soul to Almighty God having sure and certain hopes of a joyful resurrection through our blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour 

Being possessed of one hundred and seventy eight pounds eight shillings stock in long annuities ( which I believe have to run until the fifth of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty) and of some household furniture plate and linen and of a Leasehold Cottage Number 9 in Willow Street Vauxhall Road Chelsea I do hereby give and bequeath my said Long annuities household furniture plate and linen and all such ready money as I may sit possessed of and other my personal Estate and effects in manner following that is to say 

I give and bequeath to my dear sister Margaret Lee for her own sole and separate use thirty pounds of the said Long annuities for and during her natural life And from and after her death I give and bequeath the same thirty pounds Long annuities to my Nephew John Prissick for his natural life and from and after his decease then to and amongst such lawful children as he may happen to leave equally between them or to an only lawful child but in case the said John Prissick should die without leaving any such lawful Issue then I will and direct that the said thirty pounds Long annuities shall revert and go to such person or persons as shall then be my next of kin 

And I do hereby give and bequeath thirty pounds of the said Long annuities unto my dear Sister Ann Hardy Widow for her natural life for her own sole and separate use And from and after her decease I give and bequeath the said last mentioned thirty pounds Long annuities unto my two Nieces Elizabeth Gower and Mary Ann Prissick otherwise Fowe for her life And from and after the decease of my said Niece Mary Ann Prissick otherwise Fowe I give and bequeath the said last mentioned thirty pounds Long annuities unto and amongst such lawful children equally or to such only lawful child as she may happen to leave But in case my said Niece Mary Ann Prissick otherwise Fowe shall happen to die without leaving any child lawfully begotten then I will and direct that the same last mentioned thirty pounds long annuities shall go and revert to my then next of kin 

And I give and bequeath unto my said Niece Elizabeth Gower thirty pounds of my said Long annuities for her natural life for her own sole and separate use And from and after her death I give and bequeath the same thirty pounds Long annuities to such lawful children of my said Niece Elizabeth Gower if she leave more than one equally and if only one to such only child But if she my said Niece Elizabeth Gower should die without leaving any such lawful children or child then I will and direct that the said last mentioned thirty pounds Long annuities shall go and revert to my then next of kin 

And I give and bequeath unto my said nephew John Prissick fifty pounds eight shillings of my said long annuities for his natural life And from and after his death I give and bequeath the same fifty pounds eight shillings Long annuities unto such lawful children as he shall leave equally or to an only lawful child but in case he my said Nephew shall die without leaving any such child then I will and direct that the said fifty pounds eight shillings Long annuities shall go to such person or persons as shall then be my next of kin 

And I give and bequeath to the Westminster General Dispensary five pounds of my said long annuities And to the Ophthalmic Infirmary number 6 in Cork Street Burlington Gardens under the management of Mr Henry Alexander the remaining three pounds of my said Long annuities for the whole term the said Long annuities have to run 

And as to all the rest and residue of my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and where soever and particularly all such ready money as I may have by me at the time of my decease household furniture plate linen and the said Leasehold Cottage in Willow Street Vauxhall Road aforesaid (subject to the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences which I direct to be paid as soon as can be after my decease ) I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof to my said Nephew John Prissick if he shall be living at the time of my death absolutely for his own use And if he should be dead then to such children equally or an only child lawfully begotten of my said Nephew John Prissick as he shall leave him surviving But if he should leave no such children or child him surviving then I give all such rest and residue of my personal estate and effects (subject as aforesaid) unto such person or persons as shall then be my next of kin absolutely And I do hereby appoint my said Nephew John Prissick whole and sole Executor of this my Will And I do hereby revoke and make void all former or other Will or Wills Codicils or Codicil by me at any time or times heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament comprized in three sheets of paper set my hand and seal that is to say to the two first sheets my hand and to this third and last sheet my hand and seal this ninth day of April in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand eight hundred and thirty one Elizabeth Prissick

On the 6th October 1831 Administration (with the Will annexed) of the Goods Chattels and Credits of Elizabeth Prissick late of King Street in Holborn in the County of Middlesex Spinster deceased was granted to William Bowler the lawful attorney of John Prissick the Nephew and sole Executor of the Will of the said deceased for the use and benefit of the said John Prissick now residing in Alexandria in Egypt having been first sworn to administer. 

Proved at London 26 July 1834 before the Worshipful John Danberry Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of John Prissick the Nephew the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer The letters of Administration (with the Will annexed) of the goods of the said deceased granted in the month of October in the year of 1831 to William Bowler the lawful attorney of the said John Prissick for his use and benefit he then residing at Alexandria in Egypt having ceased and expired by reason of the death of the said William Bowler
