Will of Elizabeth Prissick of Pershore, Worcs, Widow.

Dated 25.3.1784, proved 22.7.1785 at London.

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Prissick of Pershore in the County of Worcester Widow being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say 

whereas I am now and have been some time possessed of or entitled to the Capital Stock or Sum of two hundred pounds in the three per cent reduced Annuities now I do give and bequeath the same unto my nephew Andrew Perrott of the City of London Esqr and my daughter Mrs Hannah Rennie of the City of York widow their executors and Administrators upon Trust nevertheless for the benefit and to the use of my Great Grandchildren Mary Clowes and Frances Clowes children of my late Granddaughter Elizabeth Clowes in the proportions following that is to say as to three parts .......... whole into four equal parts to be divided of the said stock or sum of two hundred pounds and the dividends interest and proceeds thereof to be paid and applied to or to the use of my said Great Granddaughter Mary Clowes and as to the other one fourth part of the same stock or sum of two hundred pounds and the dividends interest and proceeds thereof to be paid and applied to or to the use of my said Great Granddaughter Frances Clowes And I do direct and it is my will and meaning that my said trustees and the survivor of them his and her Executors and Administrators do and shall from time to time pay and apply as well the interests and dividends as also the stock or principal sum in the proportions aforesaid unto and to the use of the said Mary and Frances Clowes during their respective minorities if they shall respectively continue sole and unmarried so long in such manner and at such times and in such proportions as they my said Trustees their Executors or Administrators shall in their discretion think most proper and necessary for the Maintenance Education Cloathing and bringing up or in any other manner for the benefit of my said great Grandchildren as I leave it entirely to them to do therein and therewith as they shall think or see best to be done and as soon as they shall respectively attain the Age of twenty one years or be married whichever event shall first happen upon trust to pay the residue of the money both principal and interest that shall remain then undisposed of and unapplied in the proportions and manner aforesaid unto them the said Mary and Frances Clowes as they shall respectively attain such age or be married which ever shall first happen and in case either of them the said Mary and Frances Clowes shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years and unmarried then I do direct that the residue of the share of the said stock and dividends shall be paid to or to the use of the survivor in the same manner and at the same time or times as the original share of the survivor is directed to be paid by this my will and in case both my said Great Granddaughters shall happen to die before they respectively attain the age of twenty one years or unmarried then I direct and my will is that all the then residue of their respective shares of the said capital stock and the dividends interests and proceeds thereof shall sink into the Residuum of my personal Estate and go to my said daughter Hannah Rennie her Executors and Administrators to whom in that event I bequeath the same all the rest and residue of my Monies stock in the Public Funds Goods Chattels and personal Estate of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever subject to and after payment of the Legacies hereinafter mentioned and my just debts and Funeral Expences I give bequeath the same unto my Daughter the said Hannah Rennie her Executors and Administrators 

I give and bequeath unto the said Andrew Perrott the sum of ten pounds and my two silver cups and to Mr George Perrott of the City of York I give and bequeath the like sum of ten pounds I also give and bequeath unto the Reverend Mr Andrew Perrott of Pershore aforesaid and Ann his wife each of them a Gold Ring of the value of two Guineas each Ring which I request them to accept and desire my executors to present the same to them as soon as may be after my decease 

I give to my servant Elizabeth Roberts if she shall live with me as my servant at my decease the sum of two Guineas and proper Mourning and also two of my good Silk Gowns six Good Shifts six Good Aprons and six Good Muslin Morning Handkerchiefs over and besides her wages then due to her 

And to each of the servants of the Family with whom I shall abide at the time of my decease I give and bequeath the sum of one Guinea I direct that all my just debts be paid with all convenient speed after my decease and I do also will and direct that the several pecuniary Legacies herein mentioned except those to my two Great Granddaughters be paid to the respective Legatees within six months after my decease and that the specifick Legacies be delivered in fourteen days after my death or as soon as conveniently may be and it is my Will and meaning that neither of my said executors shall be answerable or accountable for any loss that may happen in the Execution of the Trusts reposed in them by this my Will unless the same happen through their wilfull neglect or default and that the one of them shall not be answerable or accountable for the Acts Deeds Receipts or Disbursements of the other but each for his or her own Acts Deeds Receipts and Disbursements only and I do desire that my Funeral may be decent and private at the place where I may happen to die (London excepted) and if I should die at Pershore aforesaid that I may be buried in the Great Church 

And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said nephew Andrew Perrott Esqr and my Daughter Hannah Rennie joint Executor and Executrix of this my last will and testament expressly revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made declaring this only to be my last In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Prissick the Testatrix have to this my last will and Testament contained in this and the one preceeding Sheet of paper set my hand and seal to wit my hand to the preceeding shet at the bottom thereof and my hand and seal to this last sheet of paper this twenty fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four Eliz Prissick

This Will was proved at London on the twenty second day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five before the worshipfull George Harris Doctor of Law Surrogate of the Right Worshipfull Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commisary of the prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Andrew Perrott Esquire the nephew of the deceased and one of the executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased he having been first sworn duly to administer Hannah Rennie widow the daughter of the said deceased and the other Executor and the residuary legatee named in the said will having first renounced the execution thereof as the letters of administration with the said will annexed of the Goods of the said deceased

Proved at London the 10th day of December 1793 before the Judge by the Oath of Hannah Rennie widow the daughter of the deceased and surviving Executor to whom Admin was granted having been first sworn by Commn duly to administer the said Hannah Rennie having first retracted the Renounciation by her formerly made.
