Tuition Bond for Bate Prissick, Carlton in Cleveland, Yorks.

Dated 17.10.1726.

Bound, 17 October 1726


The condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounden Sarah Prissick widow her executors or administrators and every or any of them do well and faithfully educate and bring up Bate Prissick her daughter aged seaventeen yeares & above Granddaughter & legatee in the will or having interest in the Goods of Sarah Codrington, widow late of Burbados deceased with sufficient meat drink cloaths and all other necessaries agreeable to her condition and estate during her minority: and make a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods chattels and credits, belonging to the said child and exhibit the same into the registry of the exchequer Court at York, at or before the Eighteenth day of Aprill next ensuing the date hereof, and also make, or cause to be made, a true and just Account of the same, when she shall be thereunto lawfully called. And do also well and truely content, satisfy and pay, or cause to be well and truely contented, satisfied and paid unto the said Bate Prissick her daughter & granddaughter of the said Sarah Codrington Executors, Administrators or Assigns, all such filial or child's part and portion Gifts, Legacies, and other Personal Estate, and all other Rights , Dues and Demands, due or owing to her the said Bate Prissick by the death last will and testament of the sd Sarah Codrington late of the Island of Burbadoe aforesd deceased, or otherwise when she shall accomplish the Age of one and twenty years, be married, or otherwise lawfully demand the same. And moreover, If need require, enter into better Bond with more sufficient Sureties for Performance of the Premisses, as the Judge of the said Court for the time being shall think requisite and needful. And lastly, do save, defend, and harmless keep the above named commissary, and all his officers and ministers, against all Persons by reason of the Premisses. Then this present obligation to be void, and of none effect, or else to remain in full force and vertue
