In the name of God Amen. I William Porrit of Mickleby in the Parish of Lyth and County of York Butcher being indisposed in Body but of sound and perfect disposing mind & memory do make and publish & declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following.
First I will & order that all my just Debts and funeral expences be fully paid and discharged. Also I give and devise unto my Son William Porrit his heirs and assigns for ever one oxgang of land called by the name of Shipton oxgang situate and being in Mickleby aforesaid but charged with and he paying out of the same the sum of sixty pounds of lawful money to my Son John Porrit his Executors Administrators or Assigns within six months after my decease.
Also I give and bequeath to my son Matthew Porrit his Executors Administrators or Assigns all my Right Title and interest which I have to the House in which now live called by the name of Tomblen house with a Garth and one Fog Gate belonging to it.
Also I give and devise to the said Matthew Porrit his heirs and Assigns for ever all my part of Hodgson Intack joining on the White Leas, also two lands in Tarn acres six Butts in the Town End Field and one Summer Gate also one Intack called little Intack joining upon a Parcel of Land called the White Leas chargeable nevertheless and he paying out of the same Intack the sum of five pounds to William and five Pounds to Isabel Children of Francis Porrit when they are respectively eleven years old and then living and twenty shillings a piece to the three Children of John Porrit and to the three Children of William Porrit as they shall respectively attain to the Age of eleven years old
All the rest of my Goods and Chattels and the rest of my Estate both real and Personal I give and devise to my said Son Matthew Porrit, to him his Heirs Executors or Assigns and I do make nominate and appoint my said Son Matthew Porrit sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other Wills by me made In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this eleventh day of January one thousand seven hundred and fifty 1750/1 William Porritt
