In the name of God Amen I William Porrett of Scarbrough in the county of York Master Marriner being in good health of body and also of sound and disposeing mind and memory praised be God Do make and ordaine this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following
First I give and devise unto my loveing wife Elizabeth Porrett and to my son William Porrett and to their heires and assignes for ever All that my now dwelling house Messuage or Tenement and all other my Messuages houses lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever scituate standing lying or being in Scarbrough aforesaid in whose tenures or occupations so ever they now are with their and every of their Rights Members and appurtenances Chargeable nevertheless and I do hereby subject the same Messuages Houses Lands & Tenements as well to and with the payment of all my just debts as with the payment of the Legacys or Portions of One hundred pounds apiece which I do hereby give to my two Daughters Ann Porrett and Sarah Porrett to be paid or become due and payable to them respectively at the end of Twelve months next after my Decease But if either of them happen to dye before Marriage then her Fortune or Portion shall go & I do hereby give the same to her Surviveing Sister
And Lastly I give and Bequeath all the rest of my Goods Chattells Shiping or parts of Ships and other personall Estate whatsoever after payment of my Debts Legacys aforesaid & funeral expenses unto my said wife
Elizabeth & son William Porrett whom I do hereby make & appoynt joynt Executors of this my last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal the Eighteenth day of january in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & thirty Eight
