Will of Robert Porret, Ugthorp, Lyth, N. Yorks, Labourer. 

 

Dated  12.4.1777, proved 13.3.1779 at York.

In the Name of God amen I Robert Porret of Ugthorp in the parish of Lyth in the County of York Labourer being weak of body but of perfect mind and memory Do make publis & declare this my last will and Testament in maner and Form following that is to say 

First I give to my Son in Law William Miller two pounds to be paid him by my Executors within one month next after my Death, 

allso I give to my Gran Daughter Dinah Miller two pounds 

allso I give to my Granson Ralph Miller tow pounds 

allso I give to my Granson William Miller two pounds, 

allso I Give to my Three Gran Children Thomas Jane and Joannah Jopplin Ten pounds to be equaly divided amongst them share and share a like, all these Legacys to be paid to my Gran Chidren as they shall attain their ages of Twenty one years, & to be paid Equaly by my Executors, 

I Give to my Only Daughter Dinah Jopplin my black Galloway and Cart and Husbandry geer 

Lastly I do make nominate and apoint My only Daughter Dinah Jopplin and my Gran Daughter Hannah Miller Daughter of Willm Miller jointly my Sole Executors of this my Last will and Testament and I give to my said Daughter Dinah Jopplin and my Gran Daughter Hannah Miller Equal between them share and share a like all that my Household Goods Furniture and all my moneys and all my personal Estate, and Every thing what soever, is to me belonging at the time of my Death, that is not herein otherways Disposed of they paying their out equal between them all my Due Debts and Legacys above and Funeral Expenses, this I make Revoaking all other will or wills heretofore by me made or published in Testemeny whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelveth Day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Seven
