In the name of God, Amen. I Rebecca Porritt of Elwick in the Parish of Hart and County of Durham, being of perfect mind and memory, for wch I praise God, do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following, hereby revoking and annulling all my former Wills -
First, I require that my beloved Husband Christopher Porritt shall enjoy all my property consisting of Houses and Land situate at Greatham during the term of his natural life and at his Decease I give the said property to my nephew
Ralph Musgrave whom I appoint the sole executor of this my last will and testament, he paying to the several Legatees hereafter mentioned their respective legacies, with legal interest during their minority: Namely,
I give to Christopher Porritt Musgrave, son of my said Executor the sum of Sixty Pounds as soon as he shall attain the age of twenty one years, and if he should die before he attains that age, then I require that his said Legacy of Sixty Pounds be equally divided amongst his surviving Brothers and Sisters.
Also I give and bequeath the like sum of Sixty Pounds to Christopher Porritt Wilson son of Avery Robinson Wilson upon his attaining the age of twenty one years, and should he die before he attains the age of twenty one I give his said Legacy to be equally divided amongst his surviving Brothers and Sisters.
Also I give to Ralph Musgrave Wilson son of the aforesaid Avery Robinson Wilson the sum of twenty Pounds, and shd he never attain the age of Twenty one years, then his said Legacy to be equally divided amongst his surviving Brothers and Sisters. -
Also I give and bequeath to Hannah Bowser Daughter of the late
Henry Bowser the sum of forty Pounds upon her attaining the age of twenty one years or day of marriage, but shd she die before she attains that age being unmarried, then my will is that her said Legacy of forty Pounds be equally divided between my Neice
Rebecca Clark, or in the case of her decease before me, between her daughter
Ann Clark and Rebecca Musgrave daughter of my Nephew Ralph
Musgrave. -
I do hereby declare, ratify and confirm this my last will and testamt. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seale this third day of March, in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and seventeen -

On the 9th day of July 1829 Ralph Musgrave of Greatham in the County of Durham Butcher the Nephew and sole executor named in the within written Will was duly sworn as usual (under £100)
This will was proved on the 9th day of July 1829 by Ralph Musgrave of Greatham in the County of Durham Butcher the Nephew and sole executor therein named to whom Admon was granted limited so far only as concerns her the deceaseds interest in certain hereditaments and premises devised and limited in use to her in and by the last Will and Testament of
Ralph Musgrave the Elder late of Greatham aforesaid Yeoman deceased bearing date the day of 1795 and all and singular the goods chattels right title and interest freehold inheritance property challenge claim and demand whatsoever both at Law and in equity together with all Leases deeds evidences and writings whatsoever relating to the same premises and all other the real and personal estate of her the said
Rebecca Porritt the testatrix deceased whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature of kind soever whereunto she was entitled at Law or in Equity and whereof she hath any power to dispose and hath accordingly disposed of in and by her said will and all her Estate and interest therein but no further or otherwise He the said
