Will of John Porrett, Stepney, Middlesex, Mariner.

Dated 27.3.1707, probate granted at London 13 July 1709.

In the Name of God Amen I John Porrett of the parish of Stepny in the County of Middx marriner being in bodily health and of sound and disposing mind and memory and considering the perills and dangers of the Seas and other uncertainties of this transitory life doe for avoiding controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) 

First I recomend my soul to God that gave it and my Body I commit to the earth or sea as it shall please God to order And as for and concerning all my worldly Estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth (that is to say) 

All and singular such wages summe and sumes of money Lands Tenements Goods Chattells and estate whatsoever as shall be any wayes due oweing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I doe give devise and bequeath the same unto my dear and loveing Wife Anne Porrett of the same place And I doe hereby nominate and appoint my said loveing Wife Anne sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills Testaments and deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made And I doe ordaine and ratify these presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have sett my hand and seal the twenty seventh Day of march Anno Domi 1707 And in the sixth year of the Reigne of her Majesty Queen Anne over England John Porrett
