In the name of God Amen I John Porret of Newton in the parish of Lyth and County of York Farmer being weak in body but of a sound and disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following
First I will that my debts and funeral charges shall be paid and discharged
I also give and bequeath to my sister Margaret Dale twenty pounds to be paid at my decease
I also I give to my sister Jane Peirson five shillings
I also give and bequeath to my loving wife Mary Porret forty shillings yearly and every year during her natural life at two half yearly payment to commence at my decease and to be paid by my executors hereafter named
All the rest and residue of my personal estate goods and chattles whatsoever I do give and bequeath to my loving sons John and Thomas Porret to be equally divided betwixt them I do nominate and my said sons joynt executors of this my last will and testament
And I do hereby revoak disanul and make void all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made In Witness hereof I the said John Porret to this my last will and testament have set my hand and seal this twenty third day of April in the year of our Lord 1763
