This is the last Will and Testament of me Isaac Porritt of Westoe in the County of Durham Master Mariner I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Wife Catherine Porritt All my Household Furniture, Plate, Linnen and China I also give devise and bequeath unto Elijah Reed the Younger of Shadwell in the County of Middlesex Master Mariner All my Part or Share of the Ship or Vessel called the Alderney And all of my Money, Securities for Money and all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever To Hold the same to the said Elijah Reed his Executors and Administrators Upon the trusts and to and for the intents and purposes hereinafter mentioned (that is to say)
Upon trust to permit and suffer my said Wife to receive and take the Profits, Proceeds and Interest arising from my part of the said Ship and my other Property and Effects to her own use for and during the Term of her natural life or so long as She continues my Widow And from and immediately after the death or marriage of my said Wife Then I order and direct that my said Trustee shall pay and apply the said Profits, Proceeds and Interest of my said Estate and Effects towards the maintenance and education of my Children
until the oldest attains the age of twenty one years And on his of her attaining that age Then it is my Will and desire that my said Trustee his Executors or Administrators shall and do sell and dispose of my Part of the said Ship Alderney and all other my Estate and Effects whatsoever either by public or private Sale for the most Money that can be got for the same And after payment of all my just debts, and the Costs and Expences of carrying of the Trusts hereby reposed in him into Execution Then to pay and divide the whole of the Money to arise from the Sale of my said Effects and all other Money whatsoever belonging to me equally among my Children Share and Share alike as they attain the age of
twenty one years the Interest of their respective Shares to be paid towards their maintenance and education untill they attain that age But if any of my Children shall die before that age without Issue of his of her Body lawfully begotten then I give the part or Share of him or her so dying unto the Survivors of them in equal Shares and proportions But if any of my Children shall die before that age and leave Issue of his or her Body lawfully begotten Then I order that the Part or Share of him or her so dying shall go to such Issue in equal proportions if more than one And it is my Will that my said Trustee his Executors or Administrators shall reimburse himself or themselves all such Costs Charges and Expences as he or they shall pay extend or be put unto in the execution of the Trusts hereby in him reposed And I nominate and appoint the said
