In the Name of God Amen I William Purritt of Holme upon Spaldingmoor in the County of York being sick of body, but of sound and perfect memory praise be to God Almighty for it, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and Forme following (that is to say)
First and principally I Commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping thro the Merits, Death, and Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have and Receive full and free Pardon and Forgiveness of all my Sins, and to inherit Everlasting Life and my Body i commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my execut hereafter mentioned and as touching the disposition of all such temporall Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth (first I will that my Debts and Funeral Charges be paid and discharged)
Itm I give unto my Daughter Mary Purritt five pounds to be paid her when she Comes to the age of one and twenty,
Itm I give unto Thomas Blackburn of Everingham five pounds for bringing up and maintaining the said
Mary Purritt, Itm I give unto my Daughters Katherine and Anne Purritt to each of them Five pounds to be paid when they accomplish the years of one and twenty,
Itm my Will is that my Brother Henry Plaister take care of my said Daughters
Katherine and Anne, and have five pounds apeice for bringing up the said Children,
all the Rest of my Personal Estate Goods, and Chattels whatsoever I do give and bequeath unto my brother
Henry Plaister whom I do make my full, and sole Executor of this my last Will, and Testament, and do hereby Revoke, disanull and make void all other former Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made, In Wittness whereof I the said
William Purritt to this my last Will and Testament have hereunto set my hand and seal, in the year of our Lord God 1721
