In the name of God Amen, I William Porret of Mickleby in the Parish of Lyth in the County of York yeoman being somewhat Indesposed in Body of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be Allmighty God, do make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in Maner and form following that is to Say -
First , I Give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Rudesdale Sixty pounds,
Allso I Give and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Dobson Sixty pounds, and a Chist of Drawers,
Allso I Give and bequeath to my maid - Servant Mary Porret Ten pounds, & a bedstead all these legacies to be paid by my Executor within one year next after my Death,
Allso I Give to my Granson William Rudsedale Five pounds,
Allso I Give to my Daughter Mary Rudesdale Other five Children Each of them one pound,
Allso I Give to my Daughter Ann Dobson Three Children each of them one pound ten shillings, all these Legacies to my Granchildren to be paid by my Executor as they shall attain their ages of Twenty one years.
Lastly I Do make and appoint my son Matthew
Porret whole and sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and
I give to my said son Matthew Porret all that my goods chatles
Household Goods and Furniture all my Moneys due to me Upon notes or
Bonds and all other Moneys and all personal Estate whatsoever is to me
belonging at the time of my Death that is not herein otherways
desposed of he paying thereout all my just Debts Legacies and Funeral
Expenses, this I make Revoaking all other Will or Wills heretofore by
me made or published, In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this Sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one
