In the name of God Amen I George Porritt of Danby in the County of
York yeoman am some what weak and Infirm in Body but of Sound Disposeing mind and memory praised be Almighty God for the same and Calling to mind the Certainty of Death and the uncertainty of this Life Do make and ordain This my Last Will and Testament this Twenty Sixth Day of January one Thousand Seven hundred and fifty as Followeth
First I give and bequeath to my five Children John Matthew Mary Elizabeth and Jane one Shilling a peice to be paid them by my Executrix at six months End after my Decease
also all the rest of my Estate Both real and personal not before given Both moveable and unmoveable and all other my Estate whatsoever I give and bequeath to
my Loveing wife Margaret whom I make my Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the day and year above
