In the name of God Amen: I Francis Porrett of Skaling in the parish of Easington and countye of Yorke husbandman, being of good and pfect remembrance blessed be God, and considering with my selfe the uncertaynety of this life, doe make this my last will and testament in forme following.
First I give my soule into the hand of Almighty God, hopeing to be saved by the death and passion of Jesus Christ, And as for my temporal estate, I dispose of it as followeth.
First I give and bequeath to Hannah Wilson, my daughter Jane's daughter the sume of three poundes,
Item I give Isabell Wilson the like sume of three poundes,
Item I give to Mary Wilson the like sume of three poundes.
Item I give to John Wilson the like sume of three poundes.
- Item I give to George Nellist, the sume of forty shillings.
To Alice Nellist the like sume of forty shillings
Item to Francis Nellist I give the sume of forty shillings.
Item I give to Ann Marchant my daughters daughter, the sume of three poundes
Item I give to William Knaggs the younger of Greenhow the sume of five shillings.
I give to William Knaggs the elder of Greenhow the sume of twelve pence,
Item I give to Hellen Porrett of Scarborough my neece the sume of five shillings.
Item I give to my daughter Jane Nellist the sume of seaven poundes fowerteen shillings & six pence.
Item I give to my daughter Hellen Dobson the like sume of seaven poundes, fowerteen shillings & six pence
- All the rest of my estate moveable & unmoveable, lands, goods
& chattles bills bonds leases deeds evidences & writeings I give to my
son Francis Porrett jurat. & doe make him sole executor jurat of this
my last will, & doe declare this to be my last will, hereby
disannulling & make voyd all other wills by me formerly made. In
witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the 26th day of
August in the 30th yeare of the reigne of King Charles the Second.1678
