Will of Elizabeth Porret, widow of William, Scarbrough, Yorks. 

 

Dated  25.3.1714, proved 20.2.1721 at York.



In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Porret Relict of William Porret late of Scarbrough in the County of York being of perfect mind & memory but considering my good age & the uncertanty of the time of life doe make this my last Will & Testament First I bequeath my soul to God expecting mercy only for the merits righteousness & satisfaction of my dear Lord and saviour Jesus Christ and my body to be burried in a decent manner according to the discretion of my executors hereafter named
And as to my worldly Goods I dispose of them as Followes I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Porret all that part I have in his Shipe to him his executors administrators & assignes 

Item I give to my son William Porret his executors administrators & assignes all that the part I have in his Shipe 

Item I give to my daughter Grace Batty & to her executors administrators & assignes all that part I have in her Husband John Battyes Shipe called the Eagle 

Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth Bell and to her executors administrators & assignes all that part I have in her Son Daniel Bells Shipe 

Item i give all the rest of my goods chattells bills bonds ready money plate & household goods and what ever els I am possessed off at my decease to my Daughter Grace Batty & my Daughter Elizabeth Bell Widow to be equally devided betwixt them and I doe appoint them Sole Executrixes of this my last will and Testament Revocking all former wills by me made And order my said two Daughters Grace Batty & Elizabeth to pay all my Funeral charges & expenses In witness whereof I have hereunto set5 my hand & seal this twenty fifth day of march ann dom 1714
