In the name of God amen I Clement Porritt of Scarborough in the countie of Yorke skiner being of pfect memory and remembrance praised be God for the same doe make and ordaine this my last will and testam't in maner and forme following
First and principallie I comend my soule into the hands of Almightie God my creator & assuredlie beleiveing in and through the meritts death & passion of Jesus Christ my saviour to be saved for ever & to live with him in everlasting glory my body I bequeath to the Earth from whence it was taken to be decentlie buried as my executrix hereafter named shall thinke fitt and for the Temporall estate wch God in mercy hath lent me I order dispose & bequeath as followeth
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my daught'r Isabell Stiricar late wife of Wm Stiricar of Scarborough aforesaid marrinr deceased For & dureing her life Naturall All that my messuage or tenem't now devided into two tenem'ts wth the kilne garth outhouses & appurtinances thereunto belonging or in any wise apperteyning wch said messuage or tenem't is scituate and being in Scarborough aforesaid in a street there called Newbrough : adioyning the land of Thomas Dunsley to the East and the land of Margery Fish to the North
Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Issabell Stiricar for & dureing her life Naturall one tenem't scituate in Scarborough aforesaid in or near unto m'chant row adioyning upon the lands of Wm Dickinson and John Skin and after the decease of my said daughter Isabell Stiricar I order dispose and bequeath as followeth (vizt??)
I give and bequeath unto my grandchilde (Al...) Stiricar after her mothers decease & to her heirs for ever one moitie or half part of my now dwelling house in Newbrough aforesaid adioning upon the land of Thomas Dunsley conteyning these rooms following vizt one low roome one plor wch the chambers over them wth the kilne and appurtinances thereunto belonging with halfe of the garth
Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandchilde Anne Stiricar after her mothers decease & to her heires forever the other p't of my said tenem't adioning the land of Margery Fish conteyning these roomes following vizt one shop or low roome wth the chambers over them with halfe of the garth
Item I give unto my grandchilde Clement Stiricar after his mothers decease & to his heires for ever all that my messuage or tenem't scituate in Scarborough aforesaid in or near unto m'chant row adioning the land of Wm Dickinson & Jno Skin conteyning one low roome one chamber & a garrit over it
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Barbara Pinder the wife of Edward Pinder of Scarborough aforesaid marrin'r in full satisfaction of her Filliall or childs portion one tenement scituate in Scarborough aforesaid being now the dwelling house of the said Edward Pinder adioyning the land of William Dickinson to her my said daughter Barbara Pinder her heires & assignes for ever
Item I
give and bequeath unto my loving daughter Issable Stiricar and to her
heires for ever one halfe (acre??) of meadow ground lying and being in
greenegate with in the liberties & precints of Scarborough aforesaid
upon condition that my said daughter Isabell Stiricar her heires ex'or
Adm'rs doe pay or cause to be paid unto William Dickinson my
grandchilde the some of twelve pounds when he shall accomplish the age
of one and twentie yeares And likewise doe pay unto my daughter
Barbara Pinder the sume of fower pounds to be paid wth in fower yeares
next after my decease twentie shillings yearely the rest of my goods &
chatles not hereby bequeathed my debts paid & funerall expences
discharged I give & bequeath unto my loving & deutifull daughter
Isabell Stiricar whome I make and ordaine sole executrix of this my
last will and testam't In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand
& seale the 3rd day of December Anno Domini 1672
