Know all Men by these presents that We John Marshall of Whitby in the County of York Gentleman
Joseph Lister of the City of York Gentleman and George Lawton of the same City Gentleman do stand and are firmly bound ....

The condition of this obligation is such, that if the above bounden John Marshall (by decree of court) Administrator of all and singular the Goods Chattels and credits with the last Will and Testament annexed
(NOTE unfortunately it is not annexed) of Joseph Porritt late of Great Moorsome in the Parish of Skelton in Cleveland in the Diocese of York Yeoman deceased (left unadministered by
Francis Porritt now also deceased who whilst living was the Son and sole Executor named in the last Will and Testament of the said
Joseph Porritt and also by Mary Porritt now also deceased intestate who whilst living was the Widow relict and Sole Executrix named in the last Will and Testament of the said
Francis Porritt deceased) (limited so far only as relates to and concerns the residue and remainder of a certain term of two thousand years originally raised and created in and by a certain Indenture bearing date on or about the twenty fifth day of August which was in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight and made or mentioned to be made between
George Webster of Brotton in the County of York Mariner of the one part and
Francis Easterby of Skinningrave in the said County of York Gentleman of the other part of and in (amongst other lands hereditaments and premises All those two several Closes or parcels of land or ground commonly called or known by the several names of Little Close Howl and House Close containing together by estimation seven Acres or thereabouts situate lying and being in the Township parish or territories of Brotton aforesaid in the Diocese of York formerly in the occupation of
Newark King and then late of Richard Stephenson as tenant to the said
George Webster with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances to the said several closes or parcels of land or ground hereditaments and premises belonging or in any wise appertaining which said term (or so much thereof as comprized or affected the aforesaid closes or parcels of land hereditaments and premises) by diverse mesne assignments and assurances or other legal acts and particularily by certain Indentures of Lease and Release bearing date respectively on or about the first and second days of March which were in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy six the release being quadrupartite and made or mentioned to be made between the said
George Webster and Mary his Wife of the first part the said Francis Easterby of the second part
William Webster of Kilton in the said County of York Yeoman of the third part and the said
Joseph Porritt of the fourth part was assigned to and became vested in the said
Joseph Porritt his executors administrators and assigns) do well and truly execute and perform the said last Will and Testament of the said Testator and administer his goods chattels and credits left unadministred and limited as aforesaid according to Law (and for the purpose of enabling him the said
John Marshall to make a legal assignment of the residue of the said term)

I do hereby certify that on the 23rd day of March in the year of our Lord 1814 John Marshall the limited administrator de bonis non cum test. was sworn duly to administer and that the whole of the personal estate and effects of the deceased within the Diocese of York left unadministered & limited as aforesaid do not amount in value to the sum of twenty pounds Witness my hand
