George Porritt of the Parish of Danby and County of York, Husbandman, Father and next of kin,
Thomas Porritt of Whitby in the County aforesaid, Ship-Carpenter,
Benjamin Coates of Whitby aforesaid, Ship-Builder
were bound to ensure ........etc. etc..
INVENTORY
A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Rights Credits and Chattels of William Porret late of Whitby in the Diocese of York deceased.
Money due to the said deceased upon a Bond now in the Hands of Thomas Porret
of Whitby aforesaid Brother to the said deceased.....38=0=0
NB The said Deceased is said to have come sick from on board his Majesty's Ship the Orford and to have died in his way to Whitby So his Cloths are not likely to be got
This is a true Inventory - Witness my hand George Porrit Father & next of kin to the said deceased June 5 1740

Endorsed: Admon of the goods etc. of William Porrit late of Whitby (who died either upon the high seas in his Majesties Ship the Orford or in his way thence to Whitby) decd was granted to
