In the name of God, Amen. I Thomas Proddy Perrott of the town and county of Newcastle upon Tyne, now a Private in his Majesty's 68th Regiment of Foot, being of perfect mind and memory of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament as follows:-
I give and bequeath unto Richard Griffin, of the said Town and County of Newcastle upon Tyne, Printer all my Right and Title to certain sums of money payable half-yearly by
Miss Margery French, of Pilgrim Street in the said Town and County of Newcastle upon Tyne, with the legal Interest thereon, that may be due at my Decease, and also all my other property of what nature soever that I may die possessed of: or in case of the death of the said
Richard Griffin previous to my decease, then I bequeath unto Margaret
Griffin, his wife, if she be surviving, all my Right and Title to the aforesaid certain sume of money, payable half-yearly by
Miss Margarey French of Pilgrim Street in the Town and County of Newcastle upon Tyne aforesaid, with the legal interest thereon, that may be due at my decease: and also all my other property of what nature soever that I may die possessed of : And I do hereby certify and confirm this, and no other, to be my last Will and Testament - In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty first day of February, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirteen
