Will of Thomas Marchant, Whitby, Yorks. Master Mariner.

Dated 6.4.1803, Proved at London 11th April 1827.

In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Marchant of Whitby in the County of York Master Mariner being in good health of body of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding thanks be given unto Almighty God for the same but calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and the perils to which persons of my vocation are continually liable and subject to do for the avoiding all disputes after my decease do hereby make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First I do order all my just debts and Funeral Expences to be fully paid satisfyed and discharged Also 

I give devise and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife Esther and to her executors administrators and assigns all my Goods Chattels ready money Money out at Interest Wages and all other my real and personal estate whatsoever the same might consist of at the time of my decease 

And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said dearly beloved Wife Esther full whole and sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made or published In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the sixth day of April One Thousand eight hundred and three Thos Marchant
