Will of Robert Lockie, on board HMS Boyne (formerly of Embleton, Northumberland).

 

Dated 1.5.1794, proved 15.5.1795 at Durham.

On Board the Boyne May 1st 1794


To Elisabeth Smith of South Shields I bequeth the sum 50£ now in the Hands of John Smith her Brother Mariner wt two years Interest due Thereon,- & all the residue of my property in whatsomever manner paying or disposed to be equally divided between my two Brothers & two Sisters Namely George & Samuel Elizabeth & Mary Lockie Except five pound which I desire them to pay to George Bell

in the hands of Robert Forster sigr is £100
in the hands of John Miller                  £10
in the hands of Robert Lilley               £10

I also hereby appoint my above named Brothers & Sisters my joint Executors & Administrators & heirs to all dues & demands now or that may any time belong to me

This will was proved on the 15th day of May 1795 by Samuel Lockie one of the Exrs therein named to whom admn was granted He having been duly sworn before the Revd Geo: Marsh Clerk B.A. a commr in this behalf lawfully authorized when he shall apply for the same. A power being reserved of granting a probate of the sd will to Geo: Lockie, Eliza Coughron, wife of Wm Coughron, and Mary Lockie, otherwise Thompson, widow of Thos Thompson decd the other Exrs therein named when they or any of them shall apply for the same
