In the name of God Amen I Robeart Gibsonn of Strantonn in the Countye of Durham yeoman beinge at this tyme sicke and weake in bodie yet of verie good and pfect memorie I thanke god for it doe make and audaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme Followinge Firste and principally I comend my soule into the hands of almighty god the father of our Lord Jesus Christe and god of all mercies trustinge that by the meritts of his sonne Jesus Christ my onely saviour and redeemer and by no other meanes I hope to have remission of my sines And after this life to live with him in lyfe everlastinge And my bodye I comende to the Earth and doe wish the same to be buried in my pish church at Strantone And for and concerninge my psonall estate I dispose the same as Followeth

Imprimis I give to my sone Willyam Gibsone of Harte all that my messuage or tennemente and Freehold land in Stranton wheron I now dwell to have and to hould the same to him and his heires for ever he the saide Willyam GIbson giveinge unto Dorathie Gibson his mother my now wyffe the some of twentye pounds yearely and everie yeare duringe her lyffe naturall provided alwayes, that my said wyfe doe not houlde her selfe therwth satisfied and contented but shall after my death chalendge or clame any thirde parte or right in and to anye of my lands tenements or houses that then this my bequest of twentye pounds a yeare unto her shall utterlye cease and be of none effect and then my will & mynde is that the same shall whollye com unto my said sonne Willyam Gibson his heires and assignes for ever as aforesaid wthout anye burthen or charge at all. 

Ite I give unto my said wyffe Dorathy Gibson all my houshould stuffe to be at her disposinge 

Ite I give to my sone Anthoine Gibson all my goods & chattle wch be myne at Claxton 

Ite I give to Robert Jhonson of Seaton Carou to everie one of his five children tene pounds 

Ite I give to Willyam Armstronge of Throston his thre children to everie one of them tene pounds 

Ite I give to Jhon Richardson my sisters sone all that he is indebted to me and do frely forgive him the same 

Ite I give to Lawrance Emmerson my sisters sone xxxs 

Ite I give to Christophr Emerson xxs 

Ite I give Robt Emerson xxs 

Ite I give to Willyam Emerson xxs if he come into the countrie if not that then this my bequest unto him shalbe of none effect but remaine unto my Executors hearafter named 

Ite I give to Margrat Harte my sisters daughter ten shillings 

Ite I give to Jhon Tomsone tene shillings 

Ite I give to Richard Tomson ten shillings 

Ite I give to Isabell Claxton tene shillings 

Ite I give to Willyam Brimley twentye shillings. 

Ite I give to Robert Brimley twenty shillings 

Ite I give to Jhon Brimley twenty shillings 

Ite I give to Margrat [?Dunne?] twentye shillings 

Ite I give to Jhon Dodgsone tene s And to his foure children now at home wth him to everie one of them five shillings 

Ite I give to my sone Willyam Gibsone all my tythe & right I have in and to ye Lorde Farme and the thre cottages in Stranton 

Item I give to my sonne Anthoine Gibson all the croppe of cornne growinge or wenewinge at the same tyme of my death upon the said lord Farme or tenement in Stranton aforesaide 

Ite I give to my sonne Anthoine Gibsone one Steepe leadd 

Item I give to Richard Burdone one cow or Fourtye shillings in monye at his Election 

Item I give to Richard Richardson thirtye shillings 

Ite I give to the poore of the pish of Stranton six shillings eight pence to be given by my sonne Willyam Gibson everie yeare for and duringe the tearme of twentye yeares 

All the rest of my goods debts leases and other estates whatsoever my debts legaces and funerall expences beinge payed and discharged I doe give and bequeath unto my said two sonnes Willyam Gibson and Anthoin Gibson whome I make joynte executors of this my laste will and testaments hereby requiringe them and either of them that they will carfully and dulye performe the same accordinge to myne intente and meaninge hearin expresed In wittness hereof I have hereunto sett my hand
