Will of Mary Perrott of Pershore in the County of Worcester the
widow and relict of George Perrott Esqr lately deceased and late one of
the Barons of his Majesty's Court of Exchequer at Westminster
Dated 18.7.1783, proved at London 29.3.1784.

In
the Name of God Amen I Mary Perrott of Pershore in the County of
Worcester the widow and relict of George Perrott Esqr lately deceased
and late one of the Barons of his Majesty's Court of Exchequer at
Westminster do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and
Testament in manner and form following that is to say
Whereas
all or the greatest part of the ....... which I am possessed of at this
time is invested in the Publick Funds I therefore give and bequeath all
my stock in the Publick Funds Dividends and produce thereof to my
executors hereinafter named to transfer and dispose of the same and
thereout with what other Monies I may have to pay and satisfy the
pecuniary Legacies hereinafter by me bequeathed
And first I
direct that the sum of one hundred pounds shall be paid laid out and
applied by my Executors in the Erection of a handsome Monument to the
Memory of my late dear husband at Laleham in the County of Middlesex
where he now lies interred
I give and bequeath unto my Nephew
Freeman Bower Esqr the sum of three hundred pounds and the Handle
Silver cup and cover having the Lowthers Arms on it and to Henry Bower
Son of the said Freeman Bower I give and bequeath the sum of three
hundred pounds and one of my Bibles now at Laleham in the County of
Middlesex
Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Bower Daughter of
the said Freeman Bower the sum of sixty pounds and my two handled Cup
with the Ridleys Arms upon it and also my other Bible at Laleham
aforesaid and my pearl Necklace
I give and bequeath unto my
brother in Law the Reverend Andrew Perrott of Pershore aforesaid Clerk
the Sum of one hundred pounds and to Mrs Perrott his wife I give the
Sum of twenty pounds which I desire she will be so good as to accept it
to buy her a Ring as some token of my regard for her
I give
and bequeath unto my brother in Law John Perrott Esqr the sum of one
hundred pounds and to Mrs Perrott wife of the said John Perrott the sum
of ten pounds for a Ring which i hope she will accept of

I give and bequeath unto my Sister in Law Mrs Territt late the wife of
the Reverend Mr Territt the sum of twenty pounds and my watch with its
Appendages
I give and bequeath unto Andrew Perrott Esqr one of
the executors and Trustees named in the Will of my late Husband the Sum
of one hundred pounds
I also give and bequeath unto Mrs
Elizabeth Prisssick of Pershore aforesaid widow the Sum of two hundred
and twenty pounds and twelve silver Tea Spoons a pair of silver Tea
Tongs a pair of silver Tumblers and one Silver ....... Candlestick
I
give and bequeath unto my Friend and acquaintance John Crode Esquire a
Barrister at Law the sum of Fifty pounds and to Mrs Crode his wife I
give and bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds and my Case of Silver
Knives and Forks a dozen of Silver Table Spoons two Silver Salts a
silver Tea Kettle and Lamp and one Silver Coffee pott and my Ring with
a Motto or posie thereon
I give and bequeath unto Mrs Agnew wife of Colonel Agnew the sum of sixty pounds and my diamond hoop Ring
I
give and bequeath unto Miss Cuthbertson of Benwell near Newcastle upon
Tyne Daughter of Mrs [?] Cuthbertson widow the Sum of twenty pounds
I
give and bequeath unto Miss Poole eldest daughter of James Poole
of
near Ledbury in the County of Hereford Esqr Barrister at Law the sum of
fifteen pounds
I give to Mrs Corbet the Sum of ten pounds
to
Mrs Mary Frederick Sister to the late Gascoigne Frederick Esqr I give
the Sum of fifteen pounds to buy her a Ring which I hope she will
receive and preserve as a testimony of my affectionate regard and
esteem for her and her said late Brother
I give and bequeath
unto my old and late faithful servant Mary now the wife
of
Emmett of Stoke Newington in the County of Middlesex late Mary
Errington the Sum of Fifty pound as some Reward for her faithful
Services and to my Old Servant John Brown of Laleham aforesaid I give
the sum of three Guineas
I give and bequeath to Mrs Renny Daughter of the said Mrs Elizabeth Prissick the Sum of twenty pounds
I
Give and bequeath the sum of ten pounds to be laid out in bread and
distributed among the poor of Laleham aforesaid at the discretion and
direction of my Executors hereinafter named within one month after my
decease
I give and bequeath to my now Maid Servants Elizabeth
Roberts and Sarah Baugh if they shall be living with me as Servants at
the time of my decease the Sum of six Guineas apiece
I also
give and bequeath to the said Mary Emmett and my Maid Servants such of
my cloathes as the said Mrs Jarrett Mrs Prissick and Mrs Crode shall
think proper for them and shall at their discretion deliver to each of
them and my Will and Meaning is that all the pecuniary Legacies
hereinbefore by me given and bequeathed shall be paid by my Executors
to the several Legatees within one Month next after my decease without
Interest and I direct the other Legacies or Bequests hereinbefore by me
made to be delivered to the respective Legatees within one Month after
my decease
and as to all the rest and residue of my plate not
hereinbefore by me disposed of I give and bequeath the same unto the
said Reverend Andrew Perrott and Andrew Perrott Esquire to be equally
divided between them share and share alike I give and bequeath all my
wearing apparel and Laces of every kind soever except what I have
directed for the said Mary Emmett and my said Maid Servants as
aforesaid unto the said Mrs Territt Mrs Prissick and Mrs Crode to be
equally divided between them share and share alike
all the
rest residue of my effects Monies Chattells and personal Estate of what
nature or kind soever and wheresoever (except my wine of every sort and
kind) subject to the payment of my just debts Funerall Expences and the
charge of proving this my will and discharging the Legacies aforesaid I
give bequeath unto the said Reverend Mr Andrew Perrott and Andrew
Perrott Esquire Mrs Elizabeth Prissick and Mrs Crode to be equally
divided between them share and share alike
and my said wine of
every sort and kind whatsoever I give and bequeath unto the said
Reverend Mr Andrew Perrott my brother in Law John Perrott Esqr my
Nephew George Perrott Esqr and the said Andrew Perrott Esqr to be
equally divided between them share and share alike
And Lastly
I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Reverend Mr Andrew
Perrott and Andrew Perrott Esqr joint Executors of this my will
desiring they will see me interred in a decent manner at Laleham in the
County of Middlesex with my late dear Husband concerning the mode of my
Funerall I choose not to give any directions leaving it ........ to
their discretion In Testimony whereof I the said Mary Perrott the
Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this and
the two preceeding sheets of paper set my hand and seal to wit my hand
to each of the two preceeding sheets at the bottom thereof and my hand
and seal to this last sheet of paper the eighteenth day of July in the
year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three M Perrott
