Will of John Allely of Whitby, Yorks, Mariner.

The
twenty Seventh day of the Month called March in the year of our Lord
one Thousand seven hundred and forty one I John Allely of Whitby in the
County of York Mariner being in good health of Body and of sound and
perfect mind and Memory praised be God considering the uncertainty of
this transitory life and certainty of death when it shall please God to
call me I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament hereby
revoking all former Wills First and principally I commend my Soul to
the Mercy of almighty God and my Body to the Earth (if providence
permit) to be decently interred at the discretion of my Friends
secondly I will order give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth
Allely all my Goods and Chattells and personal Estate whatsoever and
all such Summe and Sums of Money as are or shall become due or owing
unto me from any persons whomsoever and to her heirs and assigns for
ever my just debts and Funerall Expences being first paid and
discharged and Lastly I do nominate make and appoint my said Daughter
Elizabeth sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament set my hand
and seal the day and year first above written John Allely .

On
the twenty ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundered and forty four administration with the Will annexed of
the Goods Chattells and Credits of John Allaley otherways Allelay late
of Whitby in the County of York but in his Majestys Ship the Essex in
his Majestys Service a widower deceased was granted to Thomas Kirton
the lawfull Attorney of Elizabeth Allaley otherwise Allalay Spinster
the daughter and sole Executrix named in the said Will for the use and
benefitt of the said Executrix now residing at Whitby aforesaid being
first sworn well duly and truly to administer the same.
