In
the name of God Amen I William Hett of Throston in the Countye of
Durham yeom beeing sick and weake in body but of sound and pfect mind
and memorye (for which I praise the Lord) doe make and ordayne this my
Last Will and Testament in mannr and forme Following;
first I bequeath my soule unto Almightye god my creator hopeing for Etarnall life through the Merits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer; And I comit my body to the Earth untill the ressurrection of the just and as for my psonall Estate I dispose thereof as Followeth (viz;)
I give and bequeath unto my loveing Brother John Hett the sum of twentye shillings to be paid by my Executor hereafter named;
Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my loveing sister Margarett Smith wife of Thomas Smith the sume of twentye shillings
And
all the rest of my goods and chattells of what kind or nature
whatsoever I give devise and bequeath unto my Loveing brother James
Hett of Greatham in the County of Durham yeom whome I make Executor of
this my Last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto sett
my hand and seale the thirtyeth day of October in the yeare of Or Lord
one thousand six hundred eighty and six
