the name of God Amen I John Hett of Greatham in the Countye of Durham
yeom beeing Sick of bodye but of pfect Remembrance thanks bee to
Almightye God doe make and ordayne this my Last Will and Testament in
mannr and Forme Following First I comend my Soule to Almightye God my
maker and Redeamer and my bodye to bee buryed in Christian Buriall all
the discresion of my Executor hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my wife the sum of Fower pounds a queare and a cow and a cow's grass found free both winter & sumer and a Futher of Coles and hay to her Cow dureing her life
Item I give unto my grandchild John Hett a sheap and to my grandchild Margarett Smith another sheap and I bequeath my wife the parlor to live in dureing her life

all the rest of my houses leases lands & Tenements and goods and
Chattells whatsoever I give unto James Hett my sonn his heires &
assignes for ever (Excepting my housald Stuff) and doe constitute and
ordayne the sayd James Hett my sone whole Executor of this my Last Will
and Testament revokeing all other Wills and Testaments whatsoever In
Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the twelfth day
of September Anno Domi 1680
