This is the last will and Testament of me George Parratt of the Borough and County of Newcastle upon Tyne InnKeeper.
I give to my Brother in Law Robert Sandum my Silver Watch, Gold Seal Gold Watch chain and Key and Silver Watch Guard
I give to my Brother William Parratt one suit of Clothes(best)
I give to my father Joseph Parratt one suit of clothes
I give to my sister Emma's Husband Robert Cousel all the remainder of my wearing apparel
I give to my dear Mother Mary Parratt the sum of five pounds to be paid to her as soon as may be after my decease
I give to my friend John Smith my Cricket Bat as a rememberance of me
I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Wife Mary Ann Parratt All the Stock in Trade all the Plate Linen and Furniture Glass and China and ready money which may be in the house wherein I reside at the time of my decease and also in my Public House called the 'Rose' and all the rest and residue of my real and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever ( after payment of my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences and the legacies hereinbefore given and the bequests hereinbefore made) and her heirs for her own use and benefit absolutely. I appoint my said dear Wife
Mary Ann Parratt sole Executrix of this my Will And I hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and so declare this present writing to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five
