Will of Edward Reynes of the parish of Saint Sepulchers Citizen and Grocer of London
Dated 20.3.1675, proved at London 30.3.1676.

In
the Name of God Amen I Edward Reynes of the parish of Saint Sepulchers
Citizen and Grocer of London being sicke and weak in body but of
disposing mind and memory doe make and declare this my last Will and
Testament in manner following (vizt) Impris I comend my Soul into the
hands of Allmighty God my Creator hoping by the alone meritts of my
blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to have the Remission of all my Sinns and
eternall life in the world to come And my body I comitt to the earth to
bee decently buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereunder named
And as concerning my temporall estate I give and dispose of the same as followeth Impris
I
give to my Sister Francis Bimbleby the summe of one hundred pounds to
bee paid unto her within twelve moneths after my decease

I give to my Godsonn Reynes Bimbleby the summe of one hundred pounds to
bee paid unto him at his age of one and twenty yeares
And I
give unto his sister my Neece the like summe of one hundred pounds to
bee paid unto her when shee shall attaine to her age of eighteene
yeares or bee marryed which shall first happen
Item I give to
my Goddaughter Reynes Booth the summe of one hundred pounds to bee paid
unto her within six months next after my wifes decease
And I
give unto her sister Mary Booth the like summe of one hundred pounds to
be paid unto her alsoe within six moneths next after my wifes decease
Item I give to the poore of the said parish of Saint Sepulchers in London the summe of five pounds

I give unto John Gibson the summe of tenn pounds And to his Wife Jenny
Gibson alsoe tenn pounds to bee paid unto them within twelve moneths
after my decease And in case the said Jenny Gibson shall happen to die
in the meane time Then my Will is that her sonne John shall have the
said Legacie for her intended
Item I give .. to my servants George Spicer Thomas Fen and Alice Norfolk the summe of forty shillings a peece
Item I give to Mr Thomas Streanie the summe of five pounds And to Mr Paul Wicks twenty shillings
All
the rest and residue of any goods chattells debts and estate whatsoever
I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife Hanna Reynes whom I make sole
Executrix of this my last Will And I desire the said Mr Streame to bee
aiding and assisting to my Wife in the execution of this my Will In
witnes whereof I the said Edward Reynes have hereunto sett my hand and
seale the three and twentyeth day of March Anno Domini One thousand six
hundred seaventy five And in the eight and twentyeth yeare of the
reigne of King Charles the second Edward Reynes his marke
signed sealed etc...
