Will of Charles Perrott of the City of York Alderman

Dated 19.7.1720, proved 1727 at York.





In the Name of God Amen I Charles Perrott of the City of York Alderman being of perfect & disposeing mind and memory do make this my last Will & Testament in manner and form Following (that is to say) 

First and principally I give and recomend my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my Body to be buried in the parish Church where I shall be resident at my decease and that at as little Expense and in as private a manner as may be 

And as to for and Considering all that my Messuage or Tenement now devided into two dwelling houses and in the several occupations of William Greenville & Mrs E D'arcy as the same are scituate lyeing and being in Micklegate within the sd Citty of York and the Garden Stable Brewhouse Coach house and other th'appurts therewith used and Enjoy'd and my Warehouse in St Martins Church Lane within the sd Citty of York as it is now in the possession of Mr Richard Wilson merchant & Mr John Owram Cooke & also my Messuage or Tenemt with the yard (heretofore a stable) adjoyning to St Martins Church aforesd within the parish of Bishophill the younger now in the Severall occupations of Richard Poulter Shoemaker & Mary Crosdale Spinster my will & mind is and I do hereby give and devise the same & every part and parcell thereof unto Andrew Perrott of the town of Kingston upon Hull Alderman the Reverend Mr Thomas Perrott Rector of St Martins in York & Richard Yoward of the sd Citty of York Gen their heirs and assigns to sell and dispose thereof to the best advantage or price that can be gott for the Same and the money ariseing by such sale or sales to be paid to & rec'eid by my sd Trustees and to be by them apply'd for the payment and discharge of all my just debts which shall or may be oweing by me at my decease whether the same shall be upon mortgage Bond or otherwise and after payment & discharge of all such debts and all Interest 'ch shall be thereupon due together with my Funerall Expences I give and bequeath the residue and remainder of the money ariseing by such Sale as aforesd as also the rents and profitts yearly ariseing from the said prmes so to be sold as aforesd untill such sale thereof be made over & above what shall defray such interest as aforesd unto my daughter Martha Perrott as and for her maintenance & provision Itm as to all other my Estate whatsoever as well reall as personall I give & bequeath the same unto my Son Andrew Perrott his heirs Exors Admrs & assigns he paying out of the same Five pounds to his Sister Prissick & Five pounds a piece to the sd Andrew Perrott Thomas Perrott & Richard Yoward to whom I leave the care and tuition of my sd Son untill he attain his age of one & twenty years & whom I also request will see this my will duly perform'd & I do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint them the sd Andrew Perrott of Hull Thomas Perrott & Richard Yoward Execrs of htis my last will and testamt who I desire may reimburse themselves out of the prmes all their Costs Charges and demands w'ch may arise or happen to them for or by means of the Execution of this my will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and twenty Sig. The Condicon of this Obligacon is such that whereas the originall last Will & Testament of Charles Perrott Esqr late Alderman of the City of York deceased was by Decree of Court ordered to be delivered to the above bounden Thomas Perrott Clerk the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge If therefore the said Thomas Perrott his heires Executors & Administrators or any of them do & shall upon lawfull sumons warning or notice to him them ar any of them given bring in & redeliver or cause to be brought in & redelivered into the Registry of the prerogative Court at York the said Orig will of the said Charles Perrott whole safe unaltered uncancelled & unobliterated as the same is at the sealing here of to him delivered & then this prsent obligacon to be void & of none effect or else to remaine in full force & vertue
