it Remembred that the Sixteenth Day of March in the Sixteenth year of
the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third now King of Great
Britain and so forth And in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven
hundred and seventy six Came Mary Porrett of Sheraton Hill Top in the
County of Durham Widow and Relict of Joseph Porrett late of the Same
Place Yeoman deceased Out of Court at the City of Durham Before William
Hugall Gentleman Deputy of Henry Wilkinson Esquire Steward And took of
the Lord One House Called the Dwelling House late in the Occupation of
Gabriel Robinson deceased Abutting upon the West of a house now or late
Widow Fletcher's, on the East of a House late of Christian Chipchase,
the King's Street on the South and the Church Yard on the North with a
Stable to the Same belonging. Which he the said Joseph Her said late
Husband had in Right while he lived To Have to the said Mary Porrett in
her Widow Right according to the Custom of the Court Rendring therefore
by the Year at the usual Terms as before was wont to be Rendred and
doing to the Lord and the Neighbours the Duties and Services Accustomed
by pledges and so forth And thereupon She is thereof Admitted Tenant.
