it Remembred that the third Day of May in the Twenty Eighth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second now King of Great Britain
and so forth And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven HUndred and
fifty five Came George Porret out of Court at the City of Durham Before
David HIlton Esquire Steward and took of the Lord All those three
Dwelling Houses scituate and being in Middleham aforesaid and now in
the several possessions of Anthony Baines and Henry Fishburne as
Tenants thereof And also a Garth or Garden on the backside thereof as
the same is now marked out and now in the possession of Thomas
Brunskill containing in length from East to West Twenty five yards or
thereabouts and in breadth from North to South at the West end thereof
Seventeen Yards and at the East end thereof Twenty four Yards or
thereabouts formerly in the Tenure of Peter Ward and late in the
possession of Thomas Brunskill deceased being part and parcell of
certain premises comprized in the several Admittances of Thomas
Brunskill as son and Heir of the said Thomas Brunskill deceased (scored
through.. bearing date the Fourth Day of May in the year of our Lord
one Thousand seven hundred and fifty two ..) In which the said Thomas
Brunskill the Son therein having Right his whole Right Estate Title
Claim Interest and Demand hath Surrendered and quit Claimed into the
Hands of the Lord to the use and behoof of the said George Porret To
Have to the said George Porret To Have to the said George Porret and
his Sequels in right according to the Custom of the Court rendring
therefore by the Year at the usual Terms as before was wont to be
rendred and doing to the Lord and the Neighbours the Dutys and Services
accustomed by Pledges and so forth And thereupon he is thereof
Admitted Tenant
